Monday Sept 15th = first ever Maine Science Festival event!

What kinds of events can you expect at a science festival? A science festival is a whole new way to learn about science – fun, informative, no tests, no jobs on the line. It can also be a whole new way to think about the science that happens around us every single day.

We thought the best way to really help you figure out what a science festival is all about is to actually have an event. So, our very first event – a sneak peek to the MSF – is happening on Monday, September 15th, at the Penobscot Theatre in Bangor. Please join us at 7pm for The Good, The Bad & The Ugly: Science in Film. We’ve got an All-Star line up of experts who will let us know how some movies got the science right, and how some got it horribly wrong. Astronomy, zombies and bugs – a whole range of science, and a whole lot of explaining for Hollywood. Best of all, you’ll be able to get a feel for what kind of events you can expect to see at the first annual Maine Science Festival in March of 2015 and discover how science is everywhere!

Just like most of the MSF itself, there will be no cover for this event. We will, however, gratefully accept donations to support the festival.
