Only three more weeks!

Have you checked out the Maine Science Festival schedule yet? You can download a printed copy if you prefer paper or check it out online. There’s a separate schedule for each day, with the events listed with brief descriptions, times, locations and suggested appropriate ages.

If you’re a parent and are planning to bring your child or children to the festival, the folks at the University of Maine’s Cooperative Extension 4-H have made the schedule even easier to manage! The list of programs at the festival have been broken down by grade (high school, middle school, elementary). For instance, if you have one child in elementary school and one in middle school, just scroll to the bottom of the page to get a quick look at what festival activities may overlap for the two different ages. Perhaps on Saturday as everyone participates in Scavenge Science, you could also take both kiddos to hear authors talk about Science in Children’s Literature then up to the Cross Center (via the shuttle service that will be provided) and examine the Crime Scene Investigation?

The entire weekend of March 20-22 will be filled with many opportunities for fun and exploration at the Maine Science Festival. Examine the schedule and highlight everything you want to go to. Once you realize the entire schedule is now highlighted, play the scientific game of Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe to determine which events you’ll attend. 😉

Science IS everywhere!
