Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll

The primary “adults only” event of the Maine Science Festival, “Sex, Drugs & Rock ‘n’ Roll” will be on Friday, March 20th.

Starting at 7pm at The Big Easy Lounge on Broad Street in downtown Bangor, the “sex” talk will be given by Tony Sohns. That would be insect sex! Sohns will discuss the wild and crazy world of insect reproduction.

Do not “just say no” to a journey with anthropologist Cindy Isenhour, who will explore the historical and cultural significance of hallucinogenic plants at 8pm.

Concluding the evening, at 9pm, will be a group of folks from the New England School of Communication who will demonstrate how some artists synthesize the sounds we hear in music today by showing us a few tricks of the trade.

So sit back, relax, and learn about some of your favorite subjects!
