We are thrilled to announce the public support of Senator George Mitchell for the Maine Science Festival!
The Maine Science Festival is committed to ensuring that Mainers from all over the state are able to celebrate science with us. All events, with the exception of our headliner (Tony DeRose, Academy Award® winning scientist from Pixar) are going to be available free-of-charge, or have only a small material charge. With a full weekend of events, we are relying on Maine businesses, organizations, and people to support the MSF. We’re thrilled that Senator Mitchell has been joined by a growing list of sponsors, including IDEXX, Bangor Savings Bank, Maine Heritage Timber, the University of Maine System, WBRC, MPBN, RainStorm Consulting, the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance, NextMedia, WBRC, the BDN, the Maine Education Association, and a number of individual donors. We have plenty of room for more sponsors and support, and we would be honored to include many more names to this list!
The planning for the Maine Science Festival has been going on for more than two-and-a-half years, and we are in the home stretch. One of the most important things that the MSF has been able to confirm: there are exceptional people in Maine who are doing incredibly interesting and important work with others throughout Maine and the country. The scientific achievements happening in Maine are not being done by one or two individuals or institutions, but by a diverse group of remarkable people. The MSF will rely on a similarly exceptional, diverse group. Not only will we be able to highlight the innovative science in Maine, but to mirror how it happens. Together we can highlight the impressive science that happens in Maine every day.
Please considering donating to the Maine Science Festival, and join the people who have gotten the ball rolling. With your help, we can all highlight that science is everywhere!
